Statutory Mandate
For Commission

In accordance with state law, the Commission will facilitate:

  1.  the provision of municipal services,

  2.  the provisions of facilities,

  3.  the collection of taxes and fees, and the

  4.  negotiate any intergovernmental agreements in preparation of the establishment of the new municipality

But its members “will not have the ability to :

  1.  enter into any binding agreements,  

  2.  expend public funds, or

  3.  incur any liability on behalf of the new municipality.”
